Respiration Exercise

I usually do the exercise to help calm my nervous system, lower stress and increase mindfulness. It is a handy tool for me to relax or prepare for sleep. When doing this respiration exercise, I focus on feeling air flowing from my nose to my body, feeling it is a beautiful moment. You may like to try it. Here is the process:

  1. Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Keep the back straight and shoulders relaxed.
  2. Close my eyes and focus on breathing. Let the body relax with each breath.
  3. Deeply breathe in, slowly breathe out.
  4. Calmly breathe in and comfortably breathe out.
  5. Smilingly breathe in, happily breathe out all anxiety.
  6. Deeply breathe in, slowly breathe out
  7. Repeat 3 times
